Our highly qualified instructors teach safety and efoiling techniques that will build your confidence and ensure that you are foiling above the water in no time. Our goal at GHFS is to get you efoiling on your very first experience.

Quick Flite

Did you already take an intro flite and get GHFS Certified? Then it's time to take your riding to the next level. Now that you know how to ride safe, take a Quick Flite, and get ready to progress into learing how ride smooth and fast!

Ultimate Flite 

This isn't for the beginners, you're going to need to know how to confidently ride safe, smooth, and fast for this Ultimate Flite Adventure.

Foil Lessons

Welcome to Gnarly Harley’s Foil School! Learning to foil has never been easier. For new foilers we highly recommend taking an Intro Flite to speed up the learning process. If efoils are not your thing, no worries we can teach you to fly in no time with our Yamaha Waverunner, a large board and stable foil wing. Learning to foil has never been safer due to our unique teaching process, industry leading equipment and RAD instructors. Students can expect to foil on their first lesson!

Intro To  Foiling Lesson

Here's your introduction to foiling, students will learn to foil with a steady tow on a Waverunner rather than managing variable winds and unpredictable waves. Students can expect to foil on their first lesson! Riding the board behind a Waverunner removes the stress of using a wave to push or wind to pull while dialing in board skills. 

Foil Prerequisites

- Must know how to water start on a surfboard/wakeboard. If not we will start here.
- Before you foil, we highly recommend taking an Intro Flite 

Lesson Includes

- Work on any skills needed to get up on the board
- Learn how to ride the hydrofoil on the water with proper riding position
- Proper falling techniques
- Practice Touch n Go’s
- Practice slow and controlled S turns
- Riding on edge (skills needed for Kite & Wing Foiling)
- Pumping with and without rope
- Any advanced techniques requested with remaining time.

Tow Foil Lesson

Riding the board behind a Waverunner is to prepare yourself for other disciplines of foiling, like kite & wing foiling. You will learn how to drop into waves, maximize your pumping, and snap your first wing breach. 

Tow Foil Prerequisites

- Must know how to foil and have experience foiling
- Completed an Intro Flite
- Completed an Intro Foil

Lesson Includes

- Refresher on intro to foiling
- Safety & rescue procedures
- Practice rope realase
Tow into waves (weather dependent)

Wing Foil Lessons

Winging, wing surfing, wing dinging are just a few terms being used to describe this new exciting watersport. It combines disciplines of windsurfing, kitesurfing and foiling and can be enjoyed in all conditions, flatwater, surf, offshore downwinding and even in off shore wind directions! Standing on a compact board equipped with or without a hydrofoil, riders fly over the water while being pulled by a very light wing with an inflatable structure. Winging is simple, minimalistic, and incredibly FUN. 

Intro To Wing Foiling Lesson

Intro to Wing Foil Lesson: 3 Phase Course that allows you a one on one experience to learn how to wing surf. You will be fully equipped with the latest wing surfing equipment for your lesson. 

Phase 1: 

Phase 1:
15-30 Mins
Unpacking and rigging of equipment to include wing, leashes, safety equipment and board if necessary.
Equipment knowledge

Phase 2: 

Phase 2: 30-45 Mins
- Land flying and handling
- Kneeling and standing Wing Flip get back to center point
- Hand Positions
- Wing Window
- Body Position
- Wing Position
- Tack and Jibes
- Packing down equipment and proper storage

Phase 3: 

Phase 3: 1 hour
- On the water sailing (Shlogging) Non foilers use SUP
- Wing flip
- Wade out and in
- Knee and Kneeling riding both sides
- Standup riding (proper position) both sides

- Left and right foot forward
- Jibe (downwind transitions)
- Frontside and Backside riding
- Pack up and share moments

The Semi-Private Wing Foil Lesson

The Semi-Private Wing Foil Lesson allows you the opportunity to share your time on the water with a family member or friend. Riders need to be within 40 lbs. of each other and of similar skill level. You will be fully equipped with the latest wing surfing equipment for your lesson.

Kite Boarding Lessons

Kiteboarding is not only a water sport but a lifestyle. The people, places, and opportunities are endless. Harness the power of the wind and ride the waterways around the world with only a kite & board or foil! To make learning even easier, our students will be geared up with BBTalkin headsets in order to make long distance communication clear and timely. All Kite lessons will be Waverunner assisted unless location does not required.

Intro Kite Lesson 

3 Hour Intro Kite Course

Phase 1: Land Clinic Phase 
- Overview of what’s to come. Identify & Understand safe locations to launch and land. Identify & understand wind speed, direction and quality. Understanding the Wind Window, Equipment knowledge, Rigging and inflating the kite, Safety systems knowledge and practice (kite on ground). Then you'll discover the wind clock, Fly kite along the edge of the wind window while utilizing Low, Medium, and High Power Strokes. As well as on land tacking with and without board. Then we'll simulated safety releases and recovery as well as self rescue.

Phase 2: Enter the water 
- Understanding the board and how to properly ride on edge, Water Launch and relaunch. We'll then cover, edge of widow, straight downwind, and tailing edge. Next we'll be covering body dragging upwind, body dragging board, body dragging board recoveryBody Dragging Downwind utilizing power strokes, Body Dragging downwind board recoveries. Then we'll get in the water and breakdown water starts in both direction. Then wrap up the lesson with kite recovery, self rescue on land & water. 

Phase 3: Board Control
- First we'll cover advanced edging and body position, understanding apparent wind, Kite placement/harmonizing body, board and kite position. Next we'll dive into turning and transitions. It's time to practice going upwind. If you're a super star student, maybe we'll try your first jump!
